SportsSial connects buyers with manufacturers in Sialkot. This page explains what personal information we collect, why, who can see it, and what you can ask us to do.

What we collect

Everyone: name, email address, country, a password (stored only as a one-way hash), and what you do on the marketplace: orders, bids, offers, requests, quotes, messages and reports.
Buyers: delivery names and addresses for orders, your bank transfer reference and the receipt you upload.
Sellers applying for verification: business details (type, NTN, address, phone) and documents: the owner's CNIC and a selfie holding it, tax, registration and bank proof, address proof, and optional certificates and export documents. Sellers also give bank account details so buyers and we can pay them.
On inspection: if our team inspects a seller's premises we record the visit, a checklist, notes and a 360° tour.
Technical: a login cookie, and short-lived records of request counts (to stop abuse). We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

Why we use it

To run your account, process orders and payments, and send emails about them.
To verify sellers and protect buyers from fraud: checking documents against public records, cross-checking identities, handling reports and disputes.
To keep the marketplace secure and to meet legal and tax obligations.

Who can see it

Verification documents (CNIC, selfie, tax, bank and address proof) are visible only to the seller who uploaded them and our verification team. They are never shown to buyers or other sellers.
Sellers see a buyer's name, email and delivery address for the orders placed with them. Buyers see a seller's company details and, for their own order, the bank account to pay.
Payment receipts are visible only to the people involved in that order and our team.
The public sees a seller's company name, city, description, products and badges, and masked bidder names (first letter only) on auctions.
We use email and hosting providers to run the service; they process data on our behalf. We do not sell personal information.

How long we keep it

We keep account and order records for as long as your account exists and as long afterwards as tax, accounting or dispute rules require. Documents of applicants who are not approved can be deleted on request.

Security

Passwords are hashed. Sensitive uploads are stored privately and served only to authorised people. Admin actions are logged. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password.

Your choices

You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, subject to what we must keep by law (for example records of completed orders and payments). To do so, contact us through the site. If you close your account, a seller's 360° tour and inspection details are removed from public view.
